Taiwan, belittled?

Attending the convention of WHA, World Health Assembly, the first time ever for over twenty years that Taiwan government official was invited, deemed by many as a symbol of breakthrough of blockade practiced long by China, Yeh Jing-chuan, director of the Health Administration, found himself surrounded today in Geneva by a group of Taiwan overseas students, obviously supporters of opposition DPP, questioning him for representing Chinese Taipei instead of Taiwan for that occasion, an act they considered belittling Taiwan. Namecalling and vicious words were exchanged before Swiss police officers took action to resume order.

During the time when DPP was thr ruling party, the athletes representing Taiwan held the flag of Chinese Taipei to attend the Olympic Games of 2004 and 2008, it was not belittling Taiwan then. Why is it belittling now? The answer is simple, KMT is the ruling party.

It'd be foolish to talk about logic with any person or party who does not want to obey the ground rule of the game in the first place.
