Terror of love

Two homicides that took place in Taipei and Chiayi had similar plots. Both cases were about romantic entanglement resulting in two young girls strangled to death by their jealous ex-boyfriends who wanted to resume broken relationships.

The two-person world of romance is very often exclusive; therefore, jealousy is easily aroused resulting in adopting drastic and extreme measures to handle problems if there is no room for both parties to take a break, as pointed out by Professor Chang Kao-bing, a National Chiayi University counseling specialist, who suggested that emotional management and self-control be reinforced when engaging romance to help keep regrettable mistakes from happening.
